Your General Manager
The GM manages the golf course’s overall operation while maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees and exceeding guest expectations. The GM:
- Manages all sources of revenue like golf rounds, food and beverage, merchandising and agronomy
- Ensures all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships
- Creates local and national marketing plans and pricing strategies
- Protects the golf course and its assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
Your Head Golf Professional
The Head Golf Professional oversees golf operations and works with other departments to promote an exceptional “golf experience” through service and programs. The Head Golf Professional:
- Tracks and verifies all players and guests, golf carts, club care, lockers, handicap fees and other charges as needed
- Develops an innovative tournament program that attracts all customer segments
- Compiles competitive information to position the course in the marketplace
- Creates a player development program to foster a learning environment
- Provides career guidance for aspiring youth
Your Food & Beverage Manager
The Food & Beverage Manager coordinates activities of the food and beverage departments, maintaining established operational standards and maximizing profits for the golf course. The Food & Beverage Manager:
- Inspects and tastes prepared foods daily for quality ingredients, good presentation, making sure recipes meet high standards
- Develops new menu items and sets pricing in harmony with the market
- Oversees compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, wage and hour and health laws
- Actively surveys guests to create special menus for catered events, increasing sales and developing innovative ideas
Your Superintendent
The Superintendent manages the golf course maintenance department’s daily activities, develops and retains maintenance employees and exceeds guest expectations. Annual budgets and time lines are always top of mind. Your Superintendent:
- Keeps the GM informed on course conditions and playability
- Ensures permits are current and course is compliant with federal, state and local laws
- Develops maintenance plans and standards
Your Tournament/Event Sales Coordinator
The Tournament/Event Sales Coordinator sells, plans and markets all golf tournament and special events through personal client contact. The Coordinator builds and nurtures ongoing relationships with guests or Members and advises management on event contracts and agreements. The Tournament/Event Sales Coordinator:
- Establishes a client base of organizations, associations and businesses through direct outside and inside sales efforts
- Determines golf tournament prices, function space and food and beverage prices
- Conducts golf course and banquet site tours and exposes clients to the property and our services; entertains qualified potential clients
Assists in menu planning; coordinates, food, beverage, meeting room set-up, decorations and other requested services; assures that all services are completed to the client’s satisfaction
